Ayesha Malik, MD
Dr. Ayesha Malik is a board-certified nephrologist and board-certified internal medicine physician with advanced fellowship training in transplant nephrology.
Dr. Malik earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University, followed by nephrology and transplant nephrology fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Malik joined Kansas City Kidney Consultants in 2026. She has a special interest in pre- and post-kidney transplant care, glomerular diseases, and helping patients with chronic kidney disease improve their health and quality of life. She believes in building strong relationships with her patients and working together to create personalized treatment plans that support each patient's goals and lifestyle.
During her training, Dr. Malik was involved in several clinical research projects and contributed to peer-reviewed publications in nephrology and kidney transplantation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Malik enjoys camping, playing badminton, taking long walks, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
