Sue K. Anderson, MD
Dr. Sue Anderson is Board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology. She has been practicing medicine for over 35 years. Dr. Anderson earned her medical degree in Kansas City, Missouri, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She completed her postdoctoral training as a resident in internal medicine and her nephrology fellowship at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, where she was later appointed as a staff nephrologist. She remains on staff with the hospital. Dr. Anderson served as President of the National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri from 1986 to 1993. She also served as Secretary of the Transplant Recipients International Organization, Inc., of Missouri from 1997 to 1998. She is currently active in the following professional societies: Internal Society of Nephrologists, International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis, American Society of Nephrology, and the National Kidney Foundation. Outside of her involvement in numerous organizations, Dr. Anderson has contributed to multiple research studies. She served as a year one medical docent for UMKC for 14 years. In addition, Dr. Anderson provides community continuing education lectures for many physicians and nurses.
